Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey can substitute with chicken if you prefer
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs use whole wheat for a healthier option
  • 1/4 cup milk or any plant-based milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced (optional for extra flavor)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup you can substitute with barbecue sauce!
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika or regular if you don’t have that
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish, but totally optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, ketchup, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix everything gently with your hands until just combined. Remember, we want to keep it tender!
  • Shape the Meatloaf: Shape the mixture into a loaf. Don’t worry about it being perfect; rustic is always good! Place it on a sheet of parchment paper that fits inside your air fryer basket. This helps with cleanup later!
  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to **350°F (175°C)** and let it preheat while you get the meatloaf ready.
  • Cook the Meatloaf: Gently place the loaf into the air fryer. Close the basket and cook for about **25 minutes**. You want it to be juicy but cooked through! I like to check the internal temperature; it should read **165°F** when it’s all done.
  • Glaze and Finish: In the last 5 minutes of cooking, brush a little more ketchup or barbecue sauce on top for that sweet, sticky glaze. It’s so worth it!
  • Rest and Serve: Once cooked, carefully remove the meatloaf from the air fryer and let it rest for about 5 minutes. This helps the juices settle. Then, slice, serve, and enjoy with your favorite sides!
