- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter or almond butter if you’re nut-free
- 1/4 cup soy sauce tamari works for a gluten-free version
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup honey is a great substitute
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar apple cider vinegar is also good
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil or olive oil if you don’t have it
- 2-3 cloves garlic minced (or a teaspoon of garlic powder)
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger ground ginger works too!
- 1-3 tablespoons warm water to thin out the sauce
- Optional: chili flakes for some heat!
In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
